Psyco Skateboards is an independent streetwear and skateboard brand based in Denver, Colorado. It was founded in 2020 by Ely Smith, and it is still run by him — he designs the clothing, builds this website, and packs the orders.
Who makes Psyco Skateboards
Psyco Skateboards is the work of one person. Ely Smith founded the brand in 2020 and handles every part of it: designing the garments and graphics, coding this website, and fulfilling every order that ships out of Denver, Colorado. There is no design team and no outside studio. What reaches you passed through one set of hands.
Why Psyco Skateboards exists
Psyco started as an obsession with making clothes. Ely Smith wanted a brand that carried his own creative outlook rather than a version of it filtered through committees and trend reports. Every Psyco piece is treated as an artwork — the graphics, the cut, and the way a run is put together are all a direct expression of how he sees things. That is the whole premise of the brand: clothing as a creative output, not a product line.
Where Psyco clothing is made
Psyco Skateboards garments are made in the USA and printed in the USA. Hoodies and heavyweight pieces use 100% cotton at 14oz — a genuinely heavy fabric that holds its shape and structure instead of collapsing after a few washes. Graphics on select pieces are created in collaboration with outside artists, including Kevin Mejia.
What Psyco Skateboards makes
Psyco Skateboards makes streetwear and skateboard hardware in limited runs. The range covers oversized hoodies and zip-ups, long-sleeve and short-sleeve tees, thermals, baggy and distressed denim, jorts, skateboard decks, and stickers. Everything is cut oversized by design. Runs are small and sizes sell out rather than being restocked indefinitely.
How Psyco drops work
Psyco Skateboards releases clothing in seasonal drops rather than carrying a permanent catalogue. Each drop is produced in a limited quantity, and pieces are not guaranteed to return once a size sells out. New releases are announced by email and SMS before they go public.
